“No Man’s Land” invites the audience into dangerous territory. The new film is inspired by the real-life area along the Texas-Mexico border known as No Man’s Land. It’s not Texas, it’s not Mexico — it’s not really anything. That makes the perfect backdrop for a modern Western. The movie is a love story between a man and his family, along with the land he calls his home.
The movie follows a father-son duo in Texas. Bill Greer’s son Jackson accidentally kills a Mexican boy while patrolling the border. Bill takes the blame and flees south, becoming an illegal alien in Mexico. He’s pursued by both American and Mexican authorities, making it a thrilling chase.
The movie stars Jake Allyn (“The Quad“), Frank Grillo (“The Grey“), Jorge A. Jimenez (“Alita: Battle Angel“), Esmeralda Pimentel (“You Got This“), Andie MacDowell (“Groundhog Day“), George Lopez (“The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl“). Allyn co-wrote the film along with David Barraza (“Ninis“). The movie was directed by Conor Allyn (“Walk. Ride. Rodeo.”).
