'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Trailer: Ewan McGregor Returns To The 'Star Wars' Galaxy May 25

Now, Disney‘s take on the “Star Wars” universe looks to explore what happened to Kenobi and Vader between the events of “Sith” and “A New Hope.” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” the latest new “Star Wars” show on Disney+, sees McGregor and Christensen return in a new tale set ten years after the events of “Sith.”

In the show, Obi-Wan lives in exile on Tatooine and watches over an infant Luke Skywalker, while Vader rules the Empire alongside Emperor Palpatine. Will the two cross paths as the Jedi gets swept up in a new adventure?

Alongside McGregor and Christensen, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” also stars Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, and Kumail Nanjiani. The series also stars Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Sung Kang. Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, and Maya Erskine also have undisclosed roles.

Deborah Chow direct shoots all six episodes of “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” She’s no stranger to Disney’s “Star Wars” universe, having already directed two episodes of “The Mandalorian.”  Joby Harald, co-writer of last year’s “Army Of The Dead,” write all six episodes. Both Chow and Harald serve as executive producers with McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan

With two of the biggest stars of “Star War” returning and a stacked ensemble cast, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is one of the most anticipated releases on Disney+’s 2022 schedule. Tune in when the series comes out on May 25, 2022. Watch the trailer below, which premiered today at Disney’s Investors Day 2022.
