While we know Jonah Hill for his acting, his comedies, and his dramatic work—he already has two Oscar nominations under his belt for “The Wolf Of Wall Street” and “Moneyball”—in recent years, Hill has pivoted to feature filmmaking and has really flexed his directing skills. Having just released his latest documentary on Netflix, Hill is moving on, once again, to his next dramatic feature film effort, and it has nabbed quite the lead.
Deadline has revealed that Hill has already lined up his next dramatic project with “Outcome,” a film he co-wrote with Ezra Woods that has Keanu Reeves of “John Wick” fame set to star in a lead role. However, we’ll have to wait a bit longer for details as the film’s plot is being kept under lock and key.

As noted, Hill is far from a newcomer to directing. His directorial debut, “Mid90s,” explored family and skater culture of the 1990s; he’s directed things like episodes of Adam McKay’s “Winning Time” and his Netflix documentary “Stutz,” which focuses on his therapist Dr. Phil Stutz and mental health, just debuted this week on the streaming service (read our review). But “Outcome” will be his second scripted feature film, and landing such a big star is exciting news.
“Outcome” will go out to studios and streamers as a package deal ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday break. Given the pairing of Hill and Reeves, it should receive a ton of interest, if not a full-blown bidding war.
Reeves is coming off “The Matrix Resurrections” and will be seen fighting off The High Table (and their minions) this March in “John Wick: Chapter 4.” Other things on the horizon include a cameo in the “Wick” spinoff film “Ballerina,” a sequel to the DC Comics action-horror pic “Constantine,” a fifth “John Wick” installment, and Reeves has been considering directing a feature film adaptation of his comic book “BRZRKR” for Netflix.
Hill was all set to star as Jerry Garcia in a Martin Scorsese-directed film about The Grateful Dead, but it’s been a whole year since we heard a peep about the project, and fingers crossed it’s still coming at some point.
