Move over Daniel Day-Lewis, and sorry Radiohead — Paul Thomas Anderson has a new creative romance, and thy name is Haim. The terrific group has found a superfan in the director, who has helmed the short film “Valentine’s Day” and the music videos for “Right Now” and “Little Of Your Love” for the band. Now Anderson is back with yet another video for Haim in the live version of “Night So Long.”
We don’t need to tell you it’s great, with a pretty clever and simple concept that’s pulled off wonderfully (just watch it). And Anderson has nothing but massive praise for the sibling superstars.
“I do music videos because the Haim girls are in my life. As long as they’re around, I’ll hopefully be doing music videos for them. That’s one of the best creative relationships I’ve had in a while. I love those girls. I hope to do their whole filmography. I love them. It’s great music, they’re super charismatic to film. Everything we do is like a home movie because it’s a very familial type situation,” the director told us in an interview last month.
We’d certainly welcome as much Anderson/Haim as they’ve got coming.
