Photo Confirms Jason Schwartman's Participation in 'Scott Pilgrim'? Yes, Pretty Much

Last week we were the first to notice a slip-up in a Variety report, that led us to a Toronto source, that lead us to this news: Jason Schwartman was cast in “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World,” as the final big boss villain, Gideon Graves.

Variety mentioned the news briefly and then pulled it. It made us slightly nervous. So we checked in with our source and contacted another person and well… we had to wait.

But today, ‘Pilgrim’ director Edgar Wright posted this image of Jason Schwartzman some unknown actor holding up a question mark. And well, let’s just say, with basic photo evidence and rechecking with two different people: yes, Schwartzman is in Scott Pilgrim. The clues are super obvious too if you’re a fan. The question mark is shaped like a number 7 and Gideon Graves, the leader of the League of Ramona’s Evil Ex-Boyfriends organization is the seventh evil boyfriend in the graphic novel. We’d call that a done deal. As you were.

‘Pilgrim’ creator Bryan Lee O’Malley even teased the photo today via his Twitter feed, with an ambiguous post that simply read “WHO????” and a link to Edgar’s post. Sorry, we got this one.
