Got a Tip?

‘A Quiet Place II’ Trailer & Featurette Show How The Lengths Emily Blunt Will Go To Protect Her Kids

It’s crazy to think that we’re almost into March, as this year has flown by so far. Alas, spring is around the corner and kicking off the season’s moviegoing, “A Quiet Place II” hopes to attract a large audience…that will remain silent.

With less than a month away from the film’s debut, Paramount has released a new trailer for the film, as well as a new trailer. And in the trailer, it’s clear that “A Quiet Place II” is not interested in changing up what worked so well in the first film. Audiences are surely in for a dialogue-less affair as Emily Blunt returns as the mother of three kids that has to abandon her fortress after its overrun by monsters. Now, she’s hitting the road, hoping to find others like her that are keeping safe by keeping silent.

Once again, the film brings director John Krasinski into the fold, but adds some new cast members and clearly a bit of a bigger budget. This all makes sense, considering the first film was a runaway box office hit and one of the most acclaimed horror films of the last several years.

As Blunt points out in the new featurette catching you up to speed, the sequel is “more ambitious” with “more monsters.” Now, in an era of sequels where studios just assume that adding more, more, more to the story is enough to justify the film’s existence, it’s a bit alarming to hear those comments from Blunt. However, the first film worked really well and with the creative team (namely Blunt’s husband Krasinski) returning, it’s hard not to think that maybe “A Quiet Place II” will be a worthwhile sequel.

We’ll find out when “A Quiet Place II” hits theaters on March 20. You can watch the new trailer and featurette below.
