Rachel Weisz Tops Off Cast For Jim Sheridan's 'Dream House'

Rachel Weisz has been added to the cast of Jim Sheridan’s psychological thriller “Dream House,” which already has Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts on board.

The actress will play the wife of Craig’s protagonist, a publisher who relocates his family to a quaint New England town only to discover their house saw its previous inhabitants brutally murdered. Watts, meanwhile, will play a neighbor who was close with the previous family.

Sheridan will direct from a script written by relative unknown, David Loucka, who thus far only has an eclectic handful of film and television projects to his resume dating back to the late 80’s. This could be a worrying sign though surely Sheridan — a three time Oscar nominated writer with “My Left Foot,” “In The Name Of The Father” and “In America” — has polished it up himself.

Shooting is already underway in Toronto for the Universal Pictures and Morgan Creek collaboration which looks likely to hit early 2011.
