On Monday, “Justice League” actor Ray Fisher made waves on social media when he not-so-subtly dragged Joss Whedon by “forcefully retracting” his support of the filmmaker who took over for Zack Snyder to finish the superhero film. At the time, the post seemed to be out of left field and it was unclear why the actor was saying that sort of thing in such a public way. Well, today on social media, Fisher explained his dislike for Whedon and why he is upset with the way the filmmaker treated everyone while filming the reshoots on “Justice League.”
In a new post on Twitter, Fisher, who stars as Cyborg in “Justice League,” presented the reasons why he dragged Whedon earlier in the week. And apparently, it was with how Whedon and producers of the film conducted themselves while filming the much-discussed reshoots after Zack Snyder was forced to depart the feature.
“Joss Wheadon’s [sic] on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable,” tweeted Fisher. “He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment.”
Geoff Johns and Jon Berg are both producers within Warner Bros. and DC films, in particular. Johns was originally meant to be the Kevin Feige-esque figure for the DCEU, spearheading the development of the superhero films. He’s also a veteran comic book writer with a vast knowledge of the DC Universe, which made him seem like a natural fit for the position. Berg, on the other hand, is a veteran film producer with a number of DC superhero projects under his belt, including “Wonder Woman,” “Aquaman,” and, of course, “Justice League.” He’s also set to produce a number of the upcoming WB/DC films.
In a response to the actor’s most recent tweet about the topic, Reel Anarchy’s John Aaron Garza added to the claims of Fisher and tweeted, “Since this is out there…GJ also made fun of the Snyder Cut. Out loud. In front of People…y’all about digging your own fucking grave.”
So, it would appear that Johns is one of the central figures in this new drama about “Justice League.” It’s also important to note that Johns eventually stepped down as a DC Films executive in 2018 to focus on writing the upcoming superhero film, “The Green Lantern Corps.”

Obviously, we still haven’t seen any official responses from Whedon or anyone else associated with “Justice League.” The so-called Snyder Cut, now dubbed “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” is expected to debut on HBO Max in 2021.
