Thomas Newman‘s soundtrack to Sam Mendes’ “Revolutionary Road” starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio is due December 23, via Nonesuch records. The disc is mostly score by Newman (who also wrote the music to “Wall-E” and “Towelhead” this year), but features three tracks by The Ravens, The Orioles and The Ink Spots. Randall Poster in the music supervisor on this one and no doubt helped pick these three cuts. You can hear samples from the score right here. We’re big fans of the Ink Spots and 1930s/’40s doo-wop/R&B vocal groups of that ilk, so the cut from the album is below.
