Old dudes partying? Nah, we'll pass on that, thanks. Oh wait, those dudes include Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken? Yeah, that sounds like a shindig we could get down with.
Following yesterday's news that Douglas has signed up for "Last Vegas," Vulture reports that the filmmakers and are looking to close a deal with Robert De Niro and then call up Christopher Walken to take roles in the film. And yeah, that would be a pretty excellent trio, even if the premise is less than inspiring. Penned by "Crazy Stupid Love" writer Dan Fogleman (with Adam Brooks and Alan Yang doing recent drafts), the story revolves around four 60-something dudes who head to Las Vegas for the bachelor party of the last of their group to get married. Douglas will play a man who's getting hitched to a woman half his age and gets his buddies out to Nevada for one last blowout. But, he'll have a beef to settle with one of them over a woman they both loved when they were much younger.
De Niro will play the guy who has a beef with Douglas, while Walken will probably fill the "eccentric" quota as he usual does. Filming kicks off in September with Jon Turteltaub at the helm.
