Rosamund Pike To Headline A Silicon Valley Drama Series From Writer Scott Z. Burns

Without much flash, Rosamund Pike has become one of our best actors working today. Just look at the last several years of films, including a standout role in “Saltburn,” as well as “I Care A Lot,” for proof. Now, it appears she’s ready to dive into TV work with a new Netflix series.

According to a report from Puck, Rosamund Pike is set to lead the cast of a Silicon Valley drama series from acclaimed writer Scott Z. Burns. Not much is known about the show at this time other than it has been picked up by Netflix for a 10 episode season and there aren’t any scripts written just yet. The report also claims Pike’s character could be modeled very loosely on former Facebook/Meta C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg

This is only the second time that Burns has dabbled as a writer in TV. The previous time wasn’t all that long ago with the 2023 series, “Extrapolations.” He also served as showrunner for that series. Outside of his limited TV work, he’s best known as a film writer who often collaborates with Steven Soderbergh, working on projects such as “The Laundromat,” “Contagion,” and “Side Effects.” He has directed one film, the 2019 feature, “The Report.”

It’s far too early to know when we might see this untitled Silicon Valley drama come to Netflix screens. With no scripts being written, it’s clear this is still a project that is in its infancy. But with PIke and Burns attached, it’s something we’ll definitely want to keep an eye on.
