Part of the formula for the “Scary Movie” franchise — surely the franchise of our time — includes cameos by celebrities who are usually the first kill of the movie. But the producers of the upcoming "Scary Movie 5" might have bit off more than they can chew when they hired Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan to bring their brand of famousness to the latest chapter in the horror comedy saga.
Although Sheen is a known entity for the producers — he’s appeared in the franchise's previous films — Lohan proved to be a bit of handful, if The New York Post (via Vulture) is to be believed. The “Herbie: Fully Loaded” actress allegedly “missed every single meeting she had” for horror-spoof film, including rehearsals, and used the bizarre excuse of having “walking pneumonia.” Apparently, Lohan "freaked out" when she actually sat down and read the script, as it took some jabs at her. But can anyone really blame her for trying to get out of doing "Scary Movie 5"?
But if you are one of the few concerned that the directors might have to recast, fear not. She finally ended up on set and shot her scene (albeit only after a private jet was sent for her). You can see the results for yourself when “Scary Movie 5” opens next year on April 19, 2013.
