‘Rye Lane’ Trailer: Raine Allen-Miller’s Sundance Rom-Com Is Coming To Hulu In March

UPDATE: We have included the U.S. Trailer below.

There are some moments when you look at the state of the rom-com and you feel like you’ve seen it all. How many different ways can two disparate people meet in a cute way and then fall in love? Sometimes, filmmakers try to inject a bit of action into the mix to liven it up. Other times, such as in the case of “Rye Lane,” it takes some really solid comedy, a heaping helping of style, and some unique perspectives to make the tired rom-com feel fresh.

As seen in the trailer for “Rye Lane,” the film follows the story of two people who meet at what could be low points in their adult lives. They’re both reeling from terrible breakups, but they’re able to come together to help each other through these difficult times. And yes, there are plenty of hijinks along the way.

The new romantic comedy stars Vivian Oparah and David Jonsson. The film is directed by Raine Allen-Miller. “Rye Lane” marks the feature directorial debut for the filmmaker.

“Rye Lane” is set to debut at this year’s Sundance before hitting Hulu on March 31. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

From breakout director Raine Allen-Miller, RYE LANE is a romantic comedy that stars Vivian Oparah (Class, The Rebel) and David Jonsson (Industry, Deep State), as Yas and Dom, two twenty-somethings both reeling from bad break-ups, who connect over the course of an eventful day in South London – helping each other deal with their nightmare exes, and potentially restoring their faith in romance.
