'Save Yourselves!' Exclusive Clip: A Couple Is Blissfully Unaware That Shooting Stars Are Signs Of An Attack In This Sci-Fi Comedy

The new sci-fi comedy film, “Save Yourselves!” is set to arrive in theaters this week, and in honor of that release, we are giving our readers an exclusive look at a clip from the film. And as described above, the clip shows how peaceful and beautiful a night under the stars can be, especially without the tether of your smartphone distracting you. Unfortunately, what is perceived as incredibly active shooting stars by our couple is indeed the beginning of what is an attack on our planet. And the hip Brooklyn couple that just wanted to escape the world of technology for a week is blissfully unaware that their world is forever changed.

The film stars Sunita Mani, John Reynolds, Ben Sinclair, John Early, Jo Firestone, Gary Richardson, Johanna Day, Zenobia Shroff, and Amy Sedaris. “Save Yourselves!” is written and directed by Alex H. Fischer and Eleanor Wilson. The new sci-fi comedy marks the feature debut for both filmmakers.

“Save Yourselves!” will arrive in select theaters on October 2 and will then hit VOD on October 6. You can see the exclusive clip below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Jack (John Reynolds) and Su (Sunita Mani) are a hip Brooklyn couple who, like many of their friends, find themselves dependent on technology and unable to put down their phones. Fearing their mindless scrolling may impact their connection with each other, they seize the chance to head to an isolated cabin in the woods, vowing to unplug from the outside world for a week. Sheltered from texts and push notifications, they are blissfully unaware that the planet is under attack. As strange events unfold, the couple must figure out a way back to civilization—or what’s left of it.
