Marvel Studios wrapped up “Loki” last week and is currently working on multiple other live-action shows. Similar to “Loki,” the studio’s “She-Hulk” series is set to stroll down MCU memory lane bringing back British actor Tim Roth (“Reservoir Dogs,” “The Hateful Eight“) as his “Incredible Hulk” villain Emil Blonsky, aka, The Abomination (spotted in the recent “Shang-Chi” trailer). But the series is also introducing a number of new characters, as well.

A new actor has joined the cast, as Deadline says that Josh Segarra has landed an undisclosed role in the superhero show. Previously, Segarra had a role on series such as “FBI,” Netflix‘s “Orange Is The New Black” alongside playing Prometheus on CW‘s “Arrow.”
The workplace comedy helmed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, “She-Hulk” focuses on Tatiana Maslany‘s (“Stronger,” “Orphan Black“) Jennifer Walters, the defense lawyer cousin of Mark Ruffalo‘s Bruce Banner, and gets her superpowers in the comics after a blood transfusion from Banner. Unlike the original incarnation of Hulk, She-Hulk doesn’t transform and stays in her green form.
Before Segarra, the last big casting announcement was Jameela Jamil from “The Good Place,” who recently confirmed her involvement on TikTok, and is said to be playing the super-strong villain Titania.
Shooting has been taking place in Atlanta over the last couple of months, but we’re still waiting on an official look from Marvel and a release date. It is assumed it will air on Disney+ sometime in 2022. However, given the volume of motion-capture work and CGI characters, it likely won’t be ready as quickly as other shows.
It’ll be interesting to see what upcoming Marvel Studios projects the show will attempt to tease as She-Hulk is notably a big crossover character and even became a full-fledged member of both the Avengers and Fantastic Four among other teams. Marvel’s Kevin Feige has hinted at possible cameos that might be exciting for fans.
