Shortcuts: Nicole Kidman & Aaron Eckhart Team For ‘Rabbit Hole’, Megan Fox To Get ‘Passionate’ With Mickey Rourke

Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart will team up for John Cameron Mitchell’s “Rabbit Hole,” a film based on a stage play by David Lindsay Abaire. The film tells the story of a couple who are struggling to cope with the death of their four year old son. [Production Weekly]

Chris Lowell (TV’s “Private Practice”,”Veronica Mars”) has joined the cast of Jason Reitman’s “Up In The Air.” Already cast in the film is George Clooney, Jason Bateman, Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick. [Variety]

Michael Rispoli (TV’s “The Sopranos”) has landed a role in “The Rum Diary” and joins a cast that consists of Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart and Giovanni Ribisi. Filming is currently taking place in Puerto Rico. [Variety]

Along with Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana (the upcoming “Star Trek”) will be joining Jeffrey Dean Morgan in “Losers,” Sylvain White’s adaptation of the Vertigo/DC comic series of the same name. [THR]

Megan Fox is attached to star along side Mickey Rourke in “Passion Plays,” an indie drama written and directed by Mitch Glazer. Rourke will play a down in the dumps trumpet player who seeks redemption through Fox’s character described as an angel in 1950’s Los Angeles – whatever that means. [THR]

An Indian political party has purchased the rights to A.R. Rahman’s Jai-Ho for use in the upcoming election. The Indian translation for the song reads ‘Let There Be Victory.’ [Financial Times]

The writing-directing partnership from “I Am Legend” is reteaming for an apocalyptic film titled “World Without Us,” based on a non-fiction book that explores the deterioration of Earth if mankind was eradicated.
