Soundtrack For 'I Love You, Beth Cooper' Features The Kooks, The Hives & The Perishers

Yet another soundtrack reveal, this time for Christopher Columbus’ teen-comedy “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” starring Paul Rust as a nerdy valedictorian who proclaims his love for the most popular girl in school, played of course by Hayden Panettiere, in his graduation speech and, subsequently, faces the repercussions/rewards of such action.

The soundtrack will aim to capture teenage attentions with an eclectic mix of indie rock (The Kooks, The Hives, The Perishers, Eleni Mandell), hard rock (Airbourne, Peter Criss’ drippy KISS ballad “Beth”, Alice Cooper, Foreigner), rap (Gym Class Heroes), R&B (Smokey Robinson) and even a track by the director’s very own 15 year old daughter, Violet Columbus.

The soundtrack for “I Love You, Beth Cooper” comes out June 23rd before the feature film’s July 10th release.
