Whether you’re in it for the 80’s nostalgia, the reemergence of Winona Ryder, the inimitable ensemble cast of kids, or the pulsating, mind-throbbing music of S U R V I V E, “Stranger Things” has become an instant favorite and classic in its own right. The Netflix series has already been renewed for a second season appearing in 2017, but that doesn’t mean you have to solemnly eat Eggos and adorn yourself with Christmas lights until then.

In this new terrific video essay, Rishi Kaneria takes 28 of the best cuts from the supernatural series and mashes them together for your ultimate viewing pleasure. With traces of the alien elements from Jonathan Glazer‘s terrific “Under the Skin” and others that remind you of Darren Aronofsky‘s cuts from “Requiem for a Dream,” the video juxtaposes that which you might have missed, and can enjoy wholeheartedly out of context (while trying to imagine the episode in its entirety).
Beginning with the now legendary Eleven underwater and jumping everywhere from Winona stocking up on lights to channel her lost sun to a sprinkler in action, the cut aptly provides a background on the series without giving away any secrets at all (if you’re one of the few that has yet to watch).
Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and his brother Will listening to The Clash is my personal favorite, but let us know what your favorite cut is in the comments below.
