If you believe what is online, there seems to be two types of folks who watched Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” — people who hated it and the woke mob. For some reason, we live in a world where fandom has grown so toxic that you can’t even enjoy a silly superhero sitcom without being accused of having the woke mind virus. It’s really ridiculous. But thank god we have Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk because she gets it and she’s hilarious.
Speaking as part of a recent “Comedy Bang Bang” episode, Tatiana Maslany was asked if she had any Marvel Studios gossip to talk about. And that’s when she goes into a minutes-long rant about being fired from “Deadpool & Wolverine” because she had a feminist agenda. Obviously, she’s joking and is poking fun at how people continue to attack her online for being part of a “woke” Disney show.
“I was in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ I had two scenes in it. And then Ryan Reynolds fired me from the show because he said, ‘I don’t like these scenes,’ joked Maslany. “Now I’m suing Disney. I always talk about how much I hate Wolverine and Deadpool. I talk about it all the time. I also wish I’d just sit down and stop pushing my feminist agenda and just realize that [‘Deadpool & Wolverine’] made a lot of money and ‘She-Hulk’ only made three dollars.”
She added, “That’s why they were getting rid of me because I had this woke agenda and I really wanted to bring it into the movie.”
We have to say this again before things get distorted by fans—she’s clearly joking about the entire situation and just making fun of the people who trolled her during the release of “She-Hulk” and still troll her today. But she’s hilarious and it makes us laugh.
It feels like ages ago that “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” was released on Disney+. It’s funny how people are still upset over the series. The show knew it would garner troll-like behavior and made it part of the storyline. However, people still got upset. It’s wild.
It’ll be interesting to see how Marvel Studios uses She-Hulk in future projects. You have to assume the idea would be to include her in the upcoming ‘Avengers’ films. But will the Disney-run Marvel just dump She-Hulk because of the trolls or will they continue to push the character despite what people said about the show? We shall see.
