Several years ago, when Hulu debuted the first season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the streaming platform was best known for showing re-runs of sitcoms and network TV shows. It wasn’t a dominant force in streaming, at all. But then “The Handmaid’s Tale” debuted and instantly made Hulu an award-winning player in the Streaming Wars. Now, entering its fourth season, ‘Handmaid’s’ continues to grow in scale, as Hulu continues to become a much bigger force.
As seen in the trailer for “The Handmaid’s Tale” Season 4, the show picks up where Season 3 left off with Elisabeth Moss’ character, June, on the run from those that wish to kill her. She’s grown into the leader of a movement that she hopes will lead to the destruction of Gilead, as she seeks justice against those that have harmed her, her friends, and her family.
The upcoming season sees the return of actors such as Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford, and Sam Jaeger. And as mentioned above, it seems with every new season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the series just grows bigger and bigger in scale, with the cast also finding new ways to add to their characters and watch them evolve.
Season 4 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” debuts on Hulu on April 28. You can watch the new trailer below.
