Naturally, when you see the names Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson in the cast list of a film, people are going to get excited. So, without knowing anything about the film, there’s buzz about “The Kill Room” based solely on the cast.
As seen in the trailer for “The Kill Room,” the film follows the story of a struggling art dealer getting into business with a hitman and his boss. The scheme is simple—the hitman does some art, his boss gives it to the art dealer, and then the boss buys it back with dirty money. It’s a simple money laundering scheme. However, things get thrown for a loop when the art world begins to get excited by this manufactured art and the art dealer has to make some very interesting choices.
In addition to Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson, “The Kill Room” features a cast that includes Joe Manganiello, Maya Hawke, Debi Mazar, Dree Hemingway, Amy Keum, Candy Buckley, Larry Pine, Jennifer Kim, Matthew Maher, Tom Pecinka, and Alexander Sokovikov. The thriller is directed by Nicol Paone, who previously helmed “Friendsgiving.”
