'The Lost City' Trailer: Sandra Bullock & Channing Tatum Star In A Romantic Jungle Adventure Next March

Despite being megastars, Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum haven’t been on the big screen much of late. Outside of voice work in “The Lego Movie 2” and others, as well as a brief cameo in “Free Guy,” Tatum’s last significant roles were in 2017’s “Logan Lucky” and “Kingsmen: The Golden Circle.” As for Bullock, she has “The Unforgivable” out soon, but she hasn’t had a feature appearance since 2018’s “Ocean’s Eight” and “Bird Box.”

All that’s about to change: the pair returns next year with “The Lost City,” set to hit theaters in March. The new film stars Bullock as a romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model, Tatum, who gets caught up in a kidnapping attempt that leads to a high-stakes jungle adventure.

Alongside Bullock and Tatum, the film also stars Daniel Radcliffe, Patti Harrison, Oscar Nunez, and Da’Vine Joy RandolphBrad Pitt is along for the ride, too, albeit in a brief cameo.

Filmmaking brothers Aaron & Adam Nee direct “The Lost City” through Bullock’s Fortis Films. The pair are best known for 2015’s “Band Of Robbers,” a modern take on the adventures of Mark Twain‘s Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. The brothers Nee also co-wrote the screenplay with Dana Fox, who worked on “Cruella,” and Oren Uziel, screenwriter of 2018’s “The Cloverfield Paradox.”

Will Tatum and Bullock’s return to the big screen lead to box office success? Given their mutual A-List status, it’s likely “The Lost City” becomes this decade’s version of “Romancing The Stone.” Audiences find out when the film hits theaters on March 25, from Paramount Pictures.
