'The Spot': Kate Winslet To Star In New Hulu Drama Series From Creator Ed Solomon

Kate Winslet just can’t get enough of prestige TV, huh? After recent forays into the small screen like “The Regime” and “Mare of Easttown,” as well as the recently announced “Trust,” it appears Winslet is going back for more with the upcoming drama, “The Spot.”

According to Deadline, Kate Winslet is set to star in a new drama series, “The Spot,” coming to Hulu. The series from creator and writer Ed Solomon, produced by A24 and 20th Television, tells the story of a doctor and her school teacher husband who suspect that she might be responsible for the hit-and-run death of a child. However, as they dig into their past, secrets will be revealed.

In addition to her recent TV work, Winslet has appeared in films such as “Lee,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “Ammonite,” and “Black Bird.”

Solomon is a veteran of TV and film, with recent credits including the film, “No Sudden Move,” and the acclaimed series, “Full Circle.” Interestingly, he’s also the writer of the two “Now You See Me” films, as well as all three of the ‘Bill & Ted’ movies.

“The Spot” is a huge get for Hulu, a streaming service that has quite a few prestige series, but doesn’t seem to land the massive A-list talent all the time. That said, Hulu is also the place where FX series are housed, so there’s always that.

It’s obviously a bit too early to know when we might see “The Spot” arrive on Hulu.
