This rendition of “The Three Musketeers” features a “who’s who” of contemporary French cinema, including Vincent Cassel, Eva Green, Louis Garrel, and more. Read on for an official synopsis for “Part II: Milady,” courtesy of Pathé:
From the Louvre to Buckingham Palace, to the gutters of Paris to the siege of LaRochelle… In a kingdom divided by religious wars and under threat of British invasion, a handful of men and women will battle and tie their fate to that of France.
Along with Cassel, Green, and Garrel, “Part II: Milady” also stars Francois Civil, Romain Duris, Pio Marmaï, Lyna Khoudri, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, and Éric Ruf.
Martin Bourboulon shot both parts of “The Three Musketeers” back to back from a script by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière. Dmitiri Rassam produces the films through Chapter 2, a Mediawan company, with Pathé, M6 Films, Constantin Film, and DeAPlaneta coproducing.
No word on when “The Three Muskeeters – Part II: Milady’ will hit US theaters. But based on the eight-month gap in Bourboulon’s film in France, expect the end of this saga sometime in the summer of 2024. Watch a trailer for the movie below.
