Who is there to stop them? What happens when you cross technology with a thriller? Well, you get the Peacock original series “The Undeclared War.”
From renowned BAFTA winner Peter Kosminsky (“Warriors,” “The Government Inspector”), “The Undeclared War” shows the fear a cyber attack can bring on a country and its government, and it’s down to a leading team of analysts to ward off a series of attacks that only exist in the digital world.

Kosminsky will serve as writer, executive producer, and director for the show, along with co-commissioners Channel 4 and Peacock. Kosminsky’s work includes the 2007 series “The Britz” and the 2017 series “The State” starring “Holby City” actress Ony Uhiara.
“The Undeclared War” will have six episodes, all of which will be available on launch day. The series will star sci-fi icon Simon Pegg, known for movies such as “The World’s End” and “Shaun of the Dead.” The show will also star Hannah Khalique-Brown (“Doctors”) and Maisie Richardson-Sellers (“Kissing Booth 2”).

Set in 2024, The Undeclared War tracks a leading team of analysts buried in the heart of GCHQ, secretly working to ward off a series of cyber-attacks on the UK in the run-up to a general election. When a routine stress test of internet infrastructure goes awry, 21-year-old GCHQ intern Saara Parvan (played by Hannah Khalique-Brown) suddenly finds herself operating on the invisible frontier of high-stakes cyber warfare. The series is a result of meticulous research by BAFTA award-winning creator Peter Kosminsky, lifting the veil on the most urgent battle of our time. In a thrilling cat and mouse game, Saara and the team at GCHQ must try to stay one step ahead and anticipate their opponents’ every hidden move. The clock is ticking as a battle with high stakes, and unpredictable enemies takes place entirely online, with very real consequences. But how do you win a war most of the public don’t know you’re fighting?
