Got a Tip?

Tiffany Haddish And Director Miguel Arteta Team For New Comedy ‘Limited Partners’

There is no better example of an actor taking advantage of the spotlight quite like Tiffany Haddish. The actress, who had a breakout role in last year’s “Girls Trip,” has been seizing every opportunity that comes her way, and has turned into a machine, pumping out new, big-name projects at an uncanny pace. And with news of her latest film, it appears Haddish is showing no signs of slowing down.

Deadline is reporting that Haddish has signed on to star in the film “Limited Partners,” from director Miguel Arteta. The film follows Haddish, who starts a massive company with her best friend. However, as a buyout looms, their friendship is tested unlike anything before. The report claims the film has shades of “Bridesmaids” and “Superbad.”

As mentioned, Haddish is one of the hottest actors in all of Hollywood right now. Paramount, who is releasing “Limited Partners,” wooed the actress, but Warner Bros. had another project lined up for the actress, called “Bobby Sue.” Sony also wanted to work with Haddish next, with rumblings that it could be in a new “21 Jump Street.” Deadline says both of those could be in the future.

Arteta is coming off the Tribeca premiere of his latest film, “Duck Butter.” However, he’s probably best known for his film “Chuck & Buck,” as well as “Youth in Revolt” and last year’s “Beatriz at Dinner.” By the looks of it, this could be the biggest project of Arteta’s career.

For Haddish, however, “Limited Partners” is just yet another massive film she’s landed in the last 6 months. Her other recent projects that have spun out of her “Girls Trip” fame are the upcoming “Night School” with Kevin Hart, Tyler Perry’sNobody’s Fool,” the Melissa McCarthy and Elisabeth Moss film “The Kitchen,” “The Oath,” and the animated sequels “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” and “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.”

It’s Tiffany Haddish’s world right now, so hopefully, you are a fan. Otherwise, you might not have much to watch at the cinema.
