HBO Max has been rolling out original series that have really sunk their teeth into audiences and one of their most popular shows, “The Flight Attendant” is coming back for a second season with star Kaley Cuoco reprising the role of Cassie Bowden. The streaming service has announced that episodes for the anticipated original show will begin airing next month and have dropped a teaser trailer (See below) revealing more shocking events are on the way in season two.
Last year saw “The Flight Attendant” earn Emmy awards for Outstanding Comedy Series alongside acting awards for Cuoco and Rosie Perez. There are high expectations for this upcoming season to deliver the goods again.
Cassie Bowden is living her best sober life in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.
The dark comedy series was developed by showrunner Steve Yockey, who serves as executive producer alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Natalie Chaidez.
Returning in season two are series regulars Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, and Perez. Other recurring guest stars returning are T.R. Knight, Yasha Jackson, and Audrey Grace Marshall. The new season also stars new series regulars Mo McRae, Callie Hernandez and JJ Soria, as well as new recurring guest stars Alanna Ubach, Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, Sharon Stone, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
The first two episodes of “The Flight Attendant” debut April 21 on HBO Max. You can watch the new teaser trailer below.
