As seen in the trailer, “Transformers One” tells the origin story of some of our favorite robots in disguise. The film shows us Optimus Prime and Megatron, as well as a few others, before they become the Transformers we know and love. And perhaps best of all, this is an animated film that has none of that Michael Bay stench that the live-action films have.
And as you have come to expect with animated films, “Transformers One” has an all-star cast of voice actors bringing these robots to life. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. Adding to the intrigue surrounding the film is the director Josh Cooley. He’s best known for his work with Pixar, which includes directing “Toy Story 4.”
“Transformers One” is set to arrive in theaters on September 20. You can watch the new trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.
