And with CinemaCon in full swing in Las Vegas, Paramount revealed an all-new trailer for “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts” showcasing the next installment, set in 1994. Here’s an official synopsis for the film:

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts” will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

One of the more interesting aspects of “Rise Of The Beasts” is the incorporation of Maximal characters from the spinoff 1990s CG animated series “Beast Wars: Transformers,” with Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal and recent Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh as Airazor among the voice cast. Other voice actors include Peter Dinkledge as Scourge, Pete Davidson as Mirage, and Liza Koshy as Arcee.

Another “Transformers” movie is on the horizon with an untitled animated project focused on the planet of Cybertron, that will be handled by Industrial Light & Magic. One of their last full length animated feature films was Gore Verbinski‘s 2011 animal western “Rango,” but they’re behind some of the more impressive VFX shots in the “Transformers” franchise.
