Apple TV+ might not have the most subscribers amongst streaming services. The platform might not have the most awards, either. However, you’d be hardpressed to find a streaming service that can compete with Apple TV+ when it comes to sheer star power. And that’s on display in the second season of “Truth Be Told.”
As seen in the trailer for Season 2 of “Truth Be Told,” Octavia Spencer returns as the host of a true-crime podcast that once again finds herself drawn into a murder mystery that she must help to solve. And she’s joined this season by Kate Hudson, as the woman who is a friend of Spencer’s Poppy Parnell who would like the host to help her find the truth about a new mystery.
Joining Spencer and Hudson in the series are Christopher Backus, Alona Tal, David Lyons, Andre Royo, Merle Dandridge, Mychala Faith Lee, Mekhi Phifer, Ron Cephas Jones, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, Katherine LaNasa, Michael Beach, and Tami Roman. “Truth Be Told” is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, who is probably best known for her work on the previous series such as “Justified” and “The Good Wife.”
