Remember Jason Reitman’s follow-up to “Juno”? Well, its leads are cast and the film looks to be moving forward, but “Juno”-ers should take note, this sounds way more, “Thank You For Smoking” rather than Diablo Cody-esque blogspeak.
George Clooney was once in-talks to star and now he’s officially signed on for Reitman’s adaptation of “Up in the Air,” as has “The Departed” star, Vera Farmiga. The story centers on a ruthless human resources exec (Clooney) in zealous pursuit of his millionth frequent flyer mile because his life otherwise sucks. Farmiga will play his love interest (of course) who develops a romantic relationship with him via random meetings in airports and hotels around the country according to Variety.
No word if there’s room for Ellen Page in this one, but it doesn’t sound like it. Shooting starts in February, but it doesn’t sound like a 2009 film. Farmiga will be seen next in “Nothing But The Truth,” this December.
