Without a doubt, Margaret Qualley is one of the most exciting young actors working today. She’s shown up in recent projects such as “Poor Things,” “Drive-Away Dolls,” “Kinds of Kindness,” and most recently, “The Substance.” And that’s just from the last year or so. She also has a number of interesting projects on the horizon, including new ones from directors Ethan Coen and Richard Linklater. And adding to her upcoming releases is a new film titled “Victorian Psycho.”

Margaret Qually is set to star in Zach Wigon’s new film, “Victorian Psycho.” The film is written by Virginia Feito, based on her own novel, and tells the story of young governess Winifred Notty. Here’s the synopsis:
In 1858, a young, eccentric governess named Winifred Notty (Margaret Qualley) arrives at the remote gothic manor known as Ensor House. Winifred’s responsibilities include teaching the children table manners and educating them about their family’s history, all whilst hiding her psychopathic tendencies. As Winifred assimilates into life at Ensor House, staff members begin to inexplicably disappear, and the owners of the estate begin to wonder if there is something amiss about their new governess.
Qualley and Wigon previously worked together on the acclaimed psychological thriller, “Sanctuary,” which premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
“Working with Zach again feels like a rare gift, and I can’t wait to step into this twisted world he’s created,” said Qualley.
Wigon added, “As soon as I discovered this thoroughly insane and unforgettable character, I knew I had to introduce moviegoers to Winifred Notty. I am beyond thrilled that the utterly fearless Margaret Qualley will be bringing this complex antihero to vivid life. Virginia Feito’s screenplay is an audacious blend of psychodrama, satire, gore and mystery. With horror aficionado producer Dan Kagan and the support of Anton and Anonymous, I cannot wait to make ‘Victorian Psycho.’”
Production on “Victorian Psycho” is set to begin in March 2025. That means we’ll likely see the film sometime in 2026.
