It looks like “Avengers: Age of Ultron," which signifies the end of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be an even bigger hit than anyone expected. While the sequel earned slightly over a whopping $200 million in 44 international markets over the last weekend, German Hawkeye fans might have to travel further than they expected to lay eyes on some sweet extreme archery action. According to DW, 686 screens in a total of 193 small towns in Germany are refusing to show the blockbuster.
It turns out that Disney is requiring German theatres to fork over 53% of their ticket sales as opposed to the standard 47.7%. The giant multiplexes in big cities can afford such a demand, but the smaller theatres are taking a stand against Disney’s 5.3 point uptick.
No matter with whom you stand in this particular matter, you’ll probably enjoy these two new clips from the movie. The first clip kind of looks like the best State Farm ad never made, as Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) save a woman plunging down a cliff in her car. In the second clip, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) can’t figure out why she can’t read Ultron’s (voiced by James Spader) mind.
