You’re going to be hearing a lot more from us about Alex Ross Perry‘s "Listen Up Philip," which is to be released in the fall. We’ve already called it one of the The Best Films Of 2014 So Far, which probably isn’t a surprise since it also made our list of The Best Films Of The 2014 Sundance Film Festival. And with the movie headed to the Locarno Film Festival to unspool internationally, some new clips have arrived.
Starring Jason Schwartzman, Krysten Ritter, Jonathan Pryce, Jess Weixler, Dree Hemingway and Eric Bogosian, the story follows an angry young writer whose unpleasantness extends to his photographer girlfriend. Our review calls it "a deeply misanthropic portrait of narcissism, the brittle nature of artistic talent and the struggles of living in New York City" and a "toxic comedy pull[Ing} very few punches when it needs to get really nasty."
"Listen Up Philip" opens on October 17th. Watch below.
