Watch: 2 New Clips From 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Plus Video Diaries Of Dr. Curt Connors

nullUpdate: Yahoo has another new clip which you can watch below.

There are few late night television personalities as awesomely unfunny as Jay Leno, but for whatever reason, people seem to love the guy. And endure him you must to watch the latest clip from "The Amazing Spider-Man" which is actually the most promising bit of footage of we've seen so far.

While the trailers so far have played up the comedy and the somewhat lacklustre setpieces, this latest peek at the film is both intriguing and odd. First of all, Spider-Man talking on a cell phone, on the street, outside of a convenience store in New York City with no one giving a second glance? Okay. Actually, maybe that does make sense. Anyway, in the scene Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy is found inside of Oscorp trying to grab some kind of antidote for The Lizard, it seems, before the villain himself comes literally crashing through the walls. We're really digging the atonal strings that punctuate the tension and overall it plays really well and is far from the more kiddie vibe we've gotten off everything thus far.

The clips starts at the 3:48 mark in the interview below, and if that's not enough, after that you can take a look at the video diaries of Dr. Curt Connors played to twitchy perfection by Rhys Ifans. "The Amazing Spider-Man" opens on July 3rd. [ComingSoon/Vulture]
