Got a Tip?

Watch: Aaron Eckhart Gets Bourne In Trailer For ‘Erased’ With Olga Kurylenko

nullShot quite a while back, and originally slated to be released last fall, the action thriller “The Expatriate” is finally coming, with a new, even more generic title: “Erased.” At least they both begin with E, right? Anyway, if “The Bourne Legacy” left you hankering for another similarly styled, but Hydrox version of the movie, well, here’s your chems.

Written by Arash Amel (“Grace Of Monaco”) with Philipp Stölzl directing, the film finds Aaron Eckhart playing a former agent who moves to Belgium, trying to make a fresh go of things as his relationship with his 15-year-old daughter (Liana Libreto) has crumbled. Working for a multinational corporation as a security head, he arrives at work one day to find that the corporation doesn’t actually exist and everyone he works with has vanished. He discovers his assistant is actually a trained operative trying to kill him. On the run with his daughter, the experience forces the two to trust and work with one another. Olga Kurylenko will play his former CIA partner and lover, who is coldly trying to track him down.

This all looks pretty rote and by the numbers, so no shock it’s going VOD on April 5th before getting a cursory release in theaters on May 10th. We love Eckhart, but between this and that-White-House-movie-that-doesn’t-star-Channing-Tatum we hope his future projects show a bit more promise.
