In case you were blessed with the superhuman ability to withstand more television after enduring the 3 1/2 hour Oscar ceremony, then perhaps you tuned in (late) last night for a very special episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Or perhaps you went straight to bed like the rest of us. But no worries, because the highlights are now online.
As is becoming tradition, the talk show host rounded up a small handful of stars to act silly in some videos, and Kimmel dropped a pair viral video inspired trailers. “Bitman Begins” kicks things off giving a dramatic retelling of “Charlie Bit My Finger” via Chris and Liam Hemsworth as the sibling pair, with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks also stopping by. After that is “Amewodeus,” with Kevin Spacey, Gary Oldman, Christoph Waltz, Abbie Cornish and Mandy Patinkin, giving “Keyboard Cat,” “Hamster On A Piano” and “Dramatic Chipmunk” the big screen treatment.
It’s all kinda mildly amusing and worth a click with your morning coffee. Check ’em out below along with the viral videos that inspired them. [Deadline]
