Video mashups tend to be a dime a dozen these days. Everyday it seems like someone on the internet has come up with a clever way to combine seemingly disparate music and/or images together which only occasionally leads to interesting results. That’s certainly the case with the video below, created by Walter Rafelsberger, which takes an action-packed sequence from the classic 1926 Buster Keaton comedy “The General” and places a portion of the “Mad Max: Fury Road” soundtrack in the background.

Since Junkie XL’s soundtrack is particularly designed to coincide with George Miller’s wild car chase sequences in ‘Fury Road,’ it’s not surprising to find that the music blends well with the dangerous stunts Keaton performed on a moving train in his silent-era classic. It places the sequence in an entirely different light and makes Keaton look like a badass action hero. Take a look for yourself.
