Watch: Danny Boyle's 'Trance' Steals From An Auction In New 2 Minute Clip

nullDanny Boyle has always been a frenetic and energetic filmmaker, blending music and images like few others, but it looks he may go to trippy new heights with the mind-bending heist thriller “Trance.” With the Oscar-winning director heading to SXSW this weekend, a new clip from the film has dropped online.

Pulled from the beginning of the movie, the clip showcases the heist that sets off the events of the film in which James McAvoy’s fine art auctioneer conspires with a gang of thieves led by Vincent Cassel to steal a high priced painting and wakes up not remembering where he hid the stolen artwork. The other thieves begin to turn the screws, and McAvoy sees Rosario Dawson, a therapist who specializes in hypnosis, to try and help him remember where it is.

“Trance” hits theatres next month on April 5th and Boyle is stopping by the Vimeo Theatre at SXSW this Saturday at 11:00 AM to present some footage from the film. Check out the clip below. [IGN]
