Watch: Darren Aronofsky Directs Underwhelming Ad For Kohl's Featuring Jennifer Lopez; Jordan Scott Helms Agent Provacateur Spots

nullWhile we patiently wait for Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" to start rolling in front of cameras, the director has been keeping his skills sharpened on a couple of sideline gigs, helming some bracing spots for The Meth Project Foundation as well as a video for Metallica and Lou Reed's silly Lulu album. But this next one we didn't exactly see coming.

Aronofsky has gotten behind the camera for a Kohl's ad for Jennifer Lopez's brand of clothing and accessories. And it's pretty underwhelming. It's essentially like any other ad Lopez does, where she "sings" and dances in a variety of outfits, striking some poses. Frankly, if you didn't tell us Aronofsky did this, we couldn't have guessed. But then again, we don't look to Kohl's ads for high art.

Meanwhile, Ridley Scott's daughter Jordan Scott continues to follow in her father's footsteps. If you haven't seen her directorial debut "Cracks" you should track it down now — it's a pretty compelling little boarding school drama — and while we wait to see what feature film she gets to next, she's done a couple of spots for the lingerie company Agent Provacateur. Featuring French actress Mylène Jampanoï, and taking cues from Playboy and "Emmanuelle," the spots are appropriately borderline softcore porn and probably NSFW. But they get the job done of raising the temperature level, so they might be worth a spin (privately). [Bleeding Cool/Daily Mail
