We already told you about the David Lynch-directed Lady Dior ad starring Playlist-wife Marion Cotillard that was supposed to debut on May 15. It’s debuted all right, but one thing. It’s 16 minutes, not 12, we were wrong.
Filmed last December in Shanghai, the film “Lady Blue” centers on the futuristic Oriental Pearl Tower and features Cotillard, reciting a poem that Lynch wrote that was inspired by the Pearl Tower itself. We don’t have 16 minutes, frankly. But on a quick skim, it looks awesomely surreal and pretentious in that awesome David Lynch way. It’s also kinda lovely, but seems to continue Lynch’s fascination with lo-fi digitalism.
