Eight years after audiences first visited the monochrome, rain slicked, bullet filled streets of “Sin City,” are they ready to go there again? Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller certainly hope so, with talk of a TV series and “Sin City 3” already percolating. But to get there, the awkwardly titled “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” will need to make some major waves, and the first trailer is here to entice with more pulpy adventures.
With Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Julia Garner, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Stacey Keach all on board, there’s certainly no lacking in star power, and with fresh stories penned for the big screen, even diehard Miller fans will find something new here, though the technique is the same. The question is whether or not this will feel new or like something we saw way back in the day.
