It would appear the marketing team behind Stephen Frears‘ forthcoming Cannes ready film “Tamara Drewe” are keeping the film’s selling point front and center — namely, the shapely figure of lead actress Gemma Arteton.
In the latest clip to hit the web, Arteton delivers a three minute monologue stands around as everyone else talks about her while the camera drinks up her body in a red tank top and some very short jean shorts. We can hear the fapping already (eww). But before the fanboys get too worked up, they should know that the film is based on a graphic novel that is a retelling of Thomas Hardy’s Far From The Madding Crowd and is a romantic comedy about an ugly duckling who surprises everyone by turning into, well, Gemma Arteton. Dominic Cooper, Roger Allam, Luke Evans, Bill Camp and Tamsin Greig co-star.
Frears will unveil his film during an Out Of Competition screening at the forthcoming Cannes Film Festival. Sony Pictures Classics is set to release the film later this year.
