The buzz around "It Follows" is moving like a virus, and that’s entirely appropriate for David Robert Mitchell‘s infectious horror (sorry, I’m feeling punny today). As the movie opens abroad, the first clip has landed along with a few pieces of promo material that will send a chill up your spine.
Maika Monroe leads the movie, playing a young woman who is given a sexually transmitted haunting. That’s right, after a dalliance with a young man, she finds herself chased by a phantasm only she can see, and the only way to get rid of it is to pass it along to someone else. In the first clip, the rules of the game are established as she finds out what exactly is going on. All this is followed by a couple of TV spots and a pretty nifty poster.
