Continuing on his recent string of hyper-productivity, following "Frances Ha," and "While We’re Young," Noam Baumbach‘s latest is done and ready and go — "Mistress America." Premiering at Sundance in January, and waiting politely for the run of "While We’re Young" to finish this spring, Baumbach’s picture will cap off the summer and a peek has arrived.
Starring Greta Gerwig and Lola Kirke, the story follows a young woman who is guided from through the streets of New York City by her step-sister. Here’s the official synopsis:
In MISTRESS AMERICA, Tracy (Lola Kirke) is a lonely college freshman in New York, having neither the exciting university experience nor the glamorous metropolitan lifestyle she envisioned. But when she is taken in by her soon-to-be stepsister, Brooke (Greta Gerwig) – a resident of Times Square and adventurous gal about town – she is rescued from her disappointment and seduced by Brooke’s alluringly mad schemes.
