So yesterday brought forth the first teaser trailer for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," a pretty decent spot highlighted on mood, some sexy gothic scenery and some hints of spectcular setpieces. Well, Bleeding Cool has uncovered a slightly longer spot from the Phillipines that has a bit more footage and some dialogue…and we can see why it was ditched for the U.S. spot.
Dominic Cooper comes front and center in this version, with a pretty rote monologue imploring Benjamin Walker's Abraham Lincoln to come join him in a fight to save the world or something, before we get into the montage of scenes we've seen before. With Johnny Cash opening up the spot, intoning about death in a way that only he can, the effectiveness of Cooper's speech pales in comparison. So yeah, overall, not as compelling as the trailer we saw yesterday, but probably still worth a moment of your time.
"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" opens on June 22nd.
