Watch: Melissa McCarthy & Sandra Bullock Feel 'The Heat' In Trailer For New Comedy From 'Bridesmaids' Director Paul Feig

nullWhat happens when a fussy, by-the-books FBI agent teams up with a street-wise, rule-bending Boston cop? Hilarity, we suppose, but you can see for yourself as the first trailer for "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig's "The Heat" is here.

Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up as the unlikely duo in what otherwise looks like your standard buddy cop comedy. Casually amusing, the story will apparently find them trying to bring down a drug lord, but of course, they get into various hijinks along with the way which includes a joke about Spanx. Perhaps not as irreverant as we were expecting, maybe a bawdier trailer will give a better sense of the tone (and to be fair, trailers for "Bridesmaids" didn't exactly get that movie right either).

Watch below and tell us what you think. "The Heat" goes on duty on April 5, 2013, and the tune in the trailer is M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls." Obviously.
