Last year at the Sundance Film Festival, "The Bronze" turned up the heat with a sex scene between two gymnasts that got many talking about the film, written by "The Big Bang Theory" star Melissa Rauch. She and her husband/co-writer Winston Rauch drew upon their own real life inspiration for the picture, which follows an Olympic champion ten years after her moment of glory.

"When Winston and I would go back to visit my parents when I was just having a little bit of success on TV [years ago], we’d go to the food court and get a free Wetzel’s Pretzel or some garlic knots," Rauch told the Los Angeles Times in January 2015. "I was so excited and maybe a little cocky about it. And then the show would be canceled, and I would go back and there would be a total cut-off on the free pretzels or garlic knots."
