Any Muppets movie means lots of felt, hijinks, puns and of course, songs. And with the sequel “Muppets Most Wanted” on the way, Disney is hoping to charm you into theaters with the self-referential “We’re Doing A Sequel” musical number and you know what? It might just work.
The song is the opening number to the film, and you’re made of stone if it doesn’t put a dumb grin on your face. It looks like director James Bobin and songwriter Bret McKenzie are working hard to recapture the goofy fun of the reboot “The Muppets Movie,” but of course, that feeling will have to last for the entire movie. But this is a good way to start.
