Watch: New Clip From Madonna's Golden Globe Winning 'W.E.'

nullPerhaps the biggest surprise last night at the Golden Globes — in an evening where everyone who was expected to win, did — was Madonna's victory in the Best Original Song category for the ironically titled "Masterpiece." While the win pissed off a cranky Elton John, the honor spoke both to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's penchant for catering to the egos of celebs they want to hang with as well as Harvey Weinstein's still masterful handle on the awards season.

Well, there's no better moment than now to get the movie back into the conversation, and so the film's U.K. distributor Optimum Releasing has dropped a new clip from the movie. The scene centers on James D'Arcy and Andrea Riseborough — as King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson as they sashay and swoon around a woozily scored and choreographed scene which is admittedly not half bad. Though the impeccable set and costume design are doing a lot of the heavy lifting here to detract from the stilted dialogue. Abbie Cornish and Oscar Isaac also feature in the cast, although in the contemporary portion of the film that is used to frame the story.

So, is this movie as bad as the critics in Venice made it out be? Or does everyone have their knives out Madge? You can find out February 3rd. Clip below. [via ONTD]
